The Supplemental Grants Program (university tenured track faculty who apply for travel grants) was established in 1982 to provide financial support for certain activities that contribute to faculty development. Supplemental Grants are for international collaboration or travel only. These supplemental grants are funded by unrestricted funds of the Foundation, and administered by the Associate Vice President for Research & Interdisciplinary Programs.
Funding is limited to $1,000 or less per proposal and must be supported by the college and department from which the recipient is from. Funds must be used for the specific purpose requested and during the time frame specified in the proposal. There will be no transfer of funds for other purposes. Requests must be made prior to the start of the activity involved. There is no retroactive funding of travel.
Requests for payment must be made within 90 days of the activity date indicated in the proposal. Recipients may request reimbursement of travel expenses through use of a university travel authority, travel voucher, or transfer to state account. Applicable conversion rates must be indicated on the Request for Payment form for the time period that the trip was made. The award recipient will be the authorized user, and will affix his/her signature for the payment request from the Foundation fund
